Calendar in a box
I was trying to implement the calendar in a rounded box as mentioned at this handcoding post but it failed spectacularly. Images attached to 'table' tag does not behave the same way as attached to 'div' tag. I have to admit that I tried only on IE6 and not much on N7 but still it does not look good. Here is a screen shot with IE at the top and NE at bottom.

Customized the calendar
The php calendar script I mentioned earlier is quite nice. I have customised it to serve the files from the archives. I could make it to look for specific posts on each days from the main file and link to them by passing the days array but why complicate it when I have so few posts.

Audioblogger should ...
Audioblogger site should have taken me to the main blogger.com website after editing the settings. It is totally non-intuitive where it just leaves your there and doesn't even show the list of audio posts you have made. Just makes an automatic entry on the main page. Quite nice and easy and here is hoping that they make something similar for images.
Changed the layout ...
I have changed the layout from a two column to three to make it more logical. This makes the main post section also more organised and does not span all the way to the right. It only covers 50% of the width which is less straining to the eye. Only problem might be with posted images which span more than 50% of the width. We will see ...
Not many good web based calendars ...
I have my central calendar on Yahoo! and wanted to import it to my blog/webpage but I couldn't. They have a print view of the calendar but you cannot embed it into another page. They should provide a small monthly view of the calendar ala the ones you see as archive links on many blogs.
I found a nice php script to generate a calendar at keithdevens.com which looks very customizable. I have put a rudimentary one on this page and see if I can extend it's functionality.

Kinda crude that I have to do it this way ...
Blogger should make it seamless to handle image/sound
object files instead of me doing all this. Its only a
matter of identifying attachment type and making an
<img> link. The following is linked to one of
the images at http://www.phlog.net/user/cyrus007
Update: well seems like you have to go into blogger.com
to publish email postings.

Today morning I opened my inbox ...
I opened my inbox to find some good cartoons. Here's some of them ...

Hey I did it !!!
Cool... now I can send emails to my blog. Lets see if
it can send it directly or do I need to publish it
inside blogger.com
Nice thing about blogger.com now that it is part of
google is that it has so many other tools to play
with. I am sure photo blogging would work without any
problems, let's see if audioblogger can be integrated
too ?
Update: turns out you cannot send pictures in emails
to your blog. Lets see if I can use phlog.net instead.
Oh well!

I am a grammar god because ...
Just took a grammar test here and the result came out as

You are a GRAMMAR GOD!
If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!
How grammatically sound are you?
